You can reduce your image sizes so you have room to add the second top widget area where you could add the text to the side as it has on the example page you provided. Jeremy, Just so you know, using the info I already listed above, your sidebars won't be below the slider, assuming you switch to Meteor Slides. However, you may have to make your home page a static page. Just create your slideshow and add the Meteor Slides shortcode in the First top Widget Area. If using Art 3's newest version, you should see the extra widgets "First Top Widget, Second Top Widget Area, First Bottom Widget Area, etc. To see the widget spots, go to your dashboard, click on appearance, and then click on Widgets. And If you have a three column template, the widget space should automatically center the slides for you. It also gives you two widget spots below the content but above the footer. Art 3 gives you at least two new widget spaces above the post content but right below the header. Problem is I cant put them after header and before posts and sidebar area. I am having problems with adding the slider into the index page to a seperate container not with the slider itself.

There are plenty of 'slider' plugins to choose from. The problem is, that I can't force my sidebars to move and the Artisteer code looks like chineese to me. This is what I want to get: A seperate slider block present only on the index page. I basically expect the sidebar and posts to go below the slider. I'm using some keen slider/carousel plugins for wordpress, and intend to put a 900px wide image slider between header, posts and sidebar.
